Best For
- You are moving up from a single-boiler machine and want separate brew and steam boilers.
- You need a compact machine.
- You can inspect and test it on arrival with an easy return route.
Quick take
The Profitec Move is a compact dual-boiler espresso machine, and the owners who upgraded to it describe a real step up: one coming from a Lelit Anna calls it a game changer, and an owner who has also run a Lelit Elizabeth rates its build and reliability far higher. The caution is quality control on arrival, with two new machines reported as leaking or mis-wired. The evidence is small, six reports from six threads, so read this as an early picture.
Compact dual-boiler espresso machine with PID temperature control and a quick heat-up mode.
Practical pick with a category-specific lean
The praise comes from owners who moved up to it: solid build and a faster, two-boiler workflow.
Two new machines arrived with faults, and a fast-start setting may leave the group short of temperature. • Total evidence snippets: 6 • Updated Oct 12, 2026

Both positive reports come from owners comparing it with a Lelit they owned.
As someone who has owned both (Elizabeth V2 and Profitec Move), I’d strongly suggest steering clear of the Lelit… very average build quality compared to the Move and incredibly unreliable - ours had to be repaired 14 times in 24 months. Having worked inside both it’s night and day. You sacrifice a couple of features (mainly proper soft preinfusion), but I’d recommend the Move all day everyday. It’s been faultless and is a dream to work on. Can’t see the V3 being any better. Every Lelit I’ve touched has been simil
Profitec Move upgrade Went for bit an upgrade this week. My first setup was a Lelit Anna paired with an Eureka Mignon Specialita. Great value for a single boiler machine, but the Move with a dual boiler, fast heat up and given its relative compact size is a game changer. The critical reports are about new units on arrival and one heat-up setting, plus a beginner's dial-in question.
Things I’d do, 5 months in to owning a move … 3) turn off quick heat up… it seems to defeat the thermal stability and the group head doesn’t get to temp fast enough.
I bought the profitec move last month and it came mis-wired.
Timing and flow looks great, still sour - [Profitec Move/Sette 270 wi] So kind of new to good espresso and the prosumer market and recently pulled the trigger on my Profitec. Today I pulled what I thought was going to be the perfect shot... 18g of light roast espresso in an 18g IMS competition basket, brewing at 204 degrees, using a distributor and 30lb weighted tamper.... My last shot hit the 36g at 29sec....(Sorry you can't see the timer on the unit in the pic and the video was my next shot that got there in 27
Brand new Profitec Move with multiple issues [Rant] Hopefully this is allowed. Brand new, out of the box Profitec Move has a leak (see attached), portafilter handle constantly comes loose... And I thought Rancillio has QC issues. What a huge disappointment. Thanks for listening... Of course because I bought online they'll probably send me replacement parts. I have no idea how many things I'll have to disassemble to reach that thing. Profitec Move Profitec Move

Products frequently compared alongside Profitec Move:
The single boiler a Move owner upgraded from; great value, but no dual boilers
Has proper soft preinfusion, but an owner of both rates the Move's build and reliability far higher
Quick answers to the main review, complaints, buyer-fit, and comparison questions shoppers ask before choosing Profitec Move.
A five-month owner advises turning it off: in their experience it defeats the machine's thermal stability, and the group head does not get up to temperature fast enough. Fast heat-up is still one of the things an upgrader praises, so the trade-off is speed against a fully warmed group.
Not the proper soft preinfusion an owner of both machines had on their Lelit; they call it the main feature they gave up, and still recommend the Move for its build and reliability.
Timing alone does not settle taste. A new owner pulling light roast at 18 g in, 36 g out in about 29 seconds at 204 °F, with an IMS basket, distributor and weighted tamper, still got sour shots. The post is a dial-in question with no resolution, so it says more about light-roast espresso than about the machine.
It was for the owner quoted above, who started on an Anna with a Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder. They still rate the Anna as great value for a single-boiler machine, so the case for moving is the second boiler and the faster workflow rather than escaping a bad machine.
