Privacy
What this site knows about you.
Very little, and none of it by name. This page says exactly what that means.
No accounts, no profiles
ArabicaDB has no login, no user accounts and no newsletter sign-up. There is nowhere to enter your name, address or payment details, because nothing here asks for them.
Google Analytics
ArabicaDB uses Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages get read, where readers arrive from, and which retailer links get followed.
What is recorded. Pages viewed, the referring page,
device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP
address (Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself), and
clicks on retailer links: which product and which retailer. Google
Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* to
recognise a returning browser. The data is only ever looked at in
aggregate; no report here describes an individual visitor. Advertising
features and Google signals are switched off.
Provider. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and that transfer rests on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Retention. Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.
Affiliate cookies
Following a link to a retailer may set a cookie belonging to that retailer or its affiliate network, which is how a resulting purchase is attributed to this site. Those cookies are set by them, not by ArabicaDB, and are governed by their privacy policies. See the affiliate disclaimer for how the commercial side works.
Evidence from public discussions
The verdicts on this site are built from public posts and comments in coffee communities. Pages quote what someone said about a piece of gear and link back to the original thread. No profile is built from those posts, and nothing is gathered from private or logged-in spaces. If you posted something quoted here and want it removed, ask and it will be.
Your controls
- Block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site works without them.
- Browser "do not track" and ad-blocking extensions are respected, not worked around.
- For anything else — including a removal request — write to hello@arabicadb.com.
